Mapping Domain Without Buying a Plan

    Hi,

    I was trying to map my domain to my blog, but couldn’t figure out how to do that, without buying a site plan.

    In the past, I used to be able to pay $13 to map the domain for a year, and that was that. But now it looks like I can only to do that if I buy a plan, and even then it looks like they will still charge me an additional $13 on top of the plan to map the domain.

    Am I missing something or does that all seem correct? Is there a way to just map the domain now, without a plan?

    No, there isn’t. You must purchase a plan.

    You will need an upgraded WordPress.com plan on your site in order to map a domain. Each paid plan comes with a free domain credit you can use to either register a new domain or map one you already own. You can map as many additional domains to the same site as you would like, but you have to pay for additional mapping upgrades separately.
