Mapping domains

    I have set up a blog for a not-for-profit organisation using wordpress and we want to utilise it now instead of our existing website. How do we redirect traffic from existing website which we will no longer maintain to our blog. We want to retain the domain name of our existing website for our blog but do not want to maintain content and have public the existing website?
