  I have cancelled my WordPress account and blog. However, the URL is still being mapped to this account. How can I make sure the previous URL http://www.nothin.ca is no longer mapped or associated with this WordPress account, even though I have already cancelled mapping and WordPress account?

  It seems that your domain is currently redirecting to a self-hosted site. If you don’t see that change yet, please try clearing out your cache and cookies.
