Mapping more than one domains to a wordpress site
-
Hello!
I’m planning to purchase wordpress.com premium hosting service to make a commercial website, and point couple of domain names at the site.
I’m reading the tutorial here:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
and wondering, is it possible to point more than one domains at my wordpress site? E.g. using all of the four domain names simultaneously:1. my-company.com
2. http://www.my-company.com
3. company-alt-name.com
4. http://www.company-alt-name.comThanks!

Hi there!
Yes, you can map multiple domains to your site, although it’s not necessary to map the domain with and without www. Any domain entered with www will automatically redirect to the non-www version :)
Let me know if you have any more questions regarding that.

Thank you fresatomica, that’s good to hear.
If you wouldn’t mind, I have couple of additional questions:
– I already have a TLS certificate for all four host names (two domains and two subdomains with www prefix). May I use the certificate with wordpress premium hosting service?
– Previously I heard it was technically difficult to point more than one domain names at a self-hosted wordpress site, which is why I’m very interested in the premium hosting service. Is this capability only offered with the premium hosting service or is the capability built into the community edition (self hosted) as well? -

No. All sites hosted on WordPress.com use an SSL certificate from Let’s Encrypt. You can read more here:

This depends on the hosting provider. Here on WordPress.com we don’t have a limit on how many domainx can be mapped to a single site.
If you have any other questions, just let me know and I’ll be happy to help.
