MAPPING MX RECORDS SO EMAIL STARTS WORKING AGAIN
-
HAVE RECENTLY MAPPED MY BLOG TO THE DOMAIN http://WWW.CAPRICACONSULTING.COM.AU – BUT EMAIL PROMPTLY STOPPED WORKING. GGRRR. EMAIL PROVIDER TELLS ME I NEED TO DELEGATE THE MX RECORDS WITHIN WORDPRESS. TRIED DOING THIS, BUT MX RECORDS BEING ENTERED:
MX2.NETREGISTRY.NET
MX3.NETREGISTRY.NETARE BEING REJECTED.

The MX records need to be formatted like this:
MX 0 MX2.NETREGISTRY.NET.
MX 10 MX3.NETREGISTRY.NET.I’ve added them to your Edit DNS page for you. Can you double check to make sure the server names are MX2.NETREGISTRY.NET instead of 2.NETREGISTRY.NET ? Sometimes people add an MX to the front when they really don’t mean to do that.

Many thanks – these have been accepted. The server names do include the MX prefix, perhaps they don’t absolutely need to but that’s the advice from the email host … thanks again for your wonderful help.

Okay, as long as that’s the same address from the email host, that should be perfect!
Cheers. :)
