Mapping my blog upgrade

  Hi there
  Apologies if this has been asked before.

  I have upgraded to a ‘mapping domain’, what I’m hoping this will do is move my WP blog to my existing domain.
  My hosts have managed to sort out the DNS and I have received confirmation from WP for successful for upgrade – however my host seems to think that this might not be sufficient to make the upgrade happen –
