Mapping my Domain
-
I own my domain through 1 and 1, and I let my mapping lapse. I tried to re-subscribe, but it seems that the only way to have mapping is to pay for the full premium WordPress contract. Is there a way to simply pay for the mapping without paying for the entire premium contract? (This is how I did it before.)
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The domain is DomesticVocation.com. I thought mapping would work through 1 and 1 (the DNS settings are all there, and I thought it was pointing to the wordpress site).
Thanks. :)

Are you referring to https://domesticvocation.com/
Warning! Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found. Please log in https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php and go to the Domains Upgrades page of your blog to use this domain.
You can do that under the personal plan but you need to add the plan first. If you add the domain first, Premium is selected automatically.
We have 4 different plans: free, personal, premium and business. All hosting is free regardless of which plan you choose. You can view all wordpress.com plan features here https://wordpress.com/pricing/ Add a plan for each of your sites here: http://store.wordpress.com/plans/.

Sorry, but I just went back and looked again. Last year, I had mapping only for $13.50/year, but it looks like the only way to go is to do the Personal Plan for ~$36/year. When I had selected the domain first (and it gave me the premium option), it showed a line item for mapping that was crossed out (but showed the $13.50/year).
That was the option I was hoping for, but now fear isn’t available except as grandfathered in from an old contract.

Stand alone upgrades were discontinued last year. Now we need to register a plan and the price has changed.

Hi there,
I’ve tried restoring the expired upgrade to your site as it only expired last week. Please see if you’re able to renew it via the Purchases page:
https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/
If it still adds a plan to your cart when you go to the checkout page, then it’s already too late to restore the upgrade and you’ll need to purchase the Personal Plan at least to get it back.

Thank you so much for giving that a try. It did add the plan to it, so I’ll look into the personal plan for now.
Thanks again.

I’ve sent you an email to discuss another option. Please reply to me there if you have any more questions.
