Mapping my domain

  Hi. I am trying to map a domain (worldonmyplate.in) I already own. I chose the ‘Premium’ plan. But in the checkout cart, the domain I entered doesn’t show. Instead, a wordpress domain shows. I followed all the steps given on your support section, but the issue arises at checkout. Please let me know how to get my domain under ‘site’ instead of the WordPress one during checkout.

  Hi there,

  Once you map that domain the .wordpress.com address will be hidden and your site will be accessible through the worldonmyplate.in. That’s something that we do automatically. All you have to do is follow these instructions:

  Thanks for the prompt reply. As per your recommendation and the support post, I selected Add a domain > I own this domain > Map your domain.

  The checkout cart added the Business Plan automatically, whereas I want to upgrade to the Premium Plan. There is no option I can see to select the Premium Plan.

  Hi. Yes, I am trying to upgrade this domain. But the plan at checkout is the BUSINESS one ($300) and not PREMIUM ($96). I can send screenshots if you tell me how.

  To clarify, I have created the website at worldonmyplateindia.wordpress.com and I want to map it to my owned domain worldonmyplate.in. I selected Add a domain > I own this domain > Map your domain.

  The checkout cart added the Business Plan ($300) automatically, whereas I want to upgrade to the Premium Plan ($96). There is no option I can see to select the Premium Plan.

  Hi @chintanidesai,

  The possible way to solve this issue is to empty the shopping cart, choose a Premium plan alone, then quit from checkout and add a domain mapping subscription on top. Then continue in checkout. That worked for me, hope works for you too.

  Of note, this is what I see on that page – which is a WordPress.com Premium plan subscription and a domain mapping upgrade for worldonmyplate.in: https://d.pr/i/4NlHA9

  I selected Add a domain > I own this domain > Map your domain.

  The reason it’s prompting you to upgrade to Business is because you’re going through the upgrade process again when you already have Premium in your cart. Please go to the cart directly using the link above and you should be able to check out.
