mapping my domain to my blog–problem
-
I am having a problem mapping my domain (wwww.wordsandbox.com) to my wordpress blog even though I added in everything in the form fields as directed by my registrar (PowerPipe):
Host Records Address Record Type
* NS1.WORDPRESS.COM URL Frame
@ NS2.WORDPRESS.COM URL Frame
www NS3.WORDPRESS.COM URL FrameWhen I went back to Setting-> Domains in my blog’s dashboard and entered the domain into the form at the top of the page and clicked the Add domain to blog button, I got the following message:
Possible problem with wordsandbox.com
We were unable to verify that wordsandbox.com is pointing to WordPress.com. If you own this domain, follow the directions below to get it ready for your blog. If you don’t own it, try a different name to see if something else is available. If the domain is available, you may be able to register it with another registrar and then map it to your blog.
I own it. Since I put the correct info into the existing nameservers already, I am a bit at a loss as to what to do next.
Suggestions?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It will take 24-72 hours for the propagation of the DNS change to make it all the way through the internet nameservers. All you can do right now is wait. Try again in about 12-24 hours.

According to networksolution.com’s whois, your domain name is NOT yet pointing at wordpress.COM:
Name Servers:
dns1.name-services.com
dns2.name-services.com
dns3.name-services.com
dns4.name-services.com
dns5.name-services.comhttp://www.networksolutions.com/whois-search/wordsandbox.com

OK, THanks. I guess I’ll just wait, then. I mean, that’s the only think I can do, right?

No. As the sacredpath said, your domain name is NOT YET pointing at wordpress.COM.
Which means, that whatever you did at your registrar isn’t working, or maybe you did it incorrectly. Waiting will not solve it. -

@vicecopy, you definitely need to check at your registrar and see what it says there. If the propagation has not yet completed then the whois information would not reflect the change yet, but you need to make sure that it shows the wordpress nameserver addresses.
If it has been 72 hours, I would suspect that perhaps the change at your registrar did not take, or they have not yet issued the change.
