mapping my own domain

  Hi,

  I just recently bought my own domain from godaddy.com. I would like to link my wordpress site to it. I saw that it only costs $13 to do this, but whenever I try it, my cart would show $99. Can you help me with this so that my blog would now show the xxxxxx.com instead of the xxxxxx.wordpress.com?

  You can use the Domain Mapping Upgrade in order to link your GoDaddy domain to your WordPress.com site.

  Domain Mapping can only be added if you have upgraded to any one of the paid WordPress.com plans. If you want you can go for the Personal plan, which is the cheapest one of them all.

  It might be showing you $99 because it is automatically selecting the Premium plan. So go here: https://wordpress.com/plans/ and select the Personal plan.

  $13 is for the additional Domain Mappings on top of your existing Domain Mapping upgrade which comes with a plan.
