Mapping not working
-
I have a blog at htpp://findingthegrail.wordpress.com. I recently purchased findingthegrail.com at Godaddy and want to use that as my URL. I changed the namservers, purchased the mapping and followed the mapping instructions.
The new domain has been added to my Admin/domains page, but when I go to the site http://www.findingthegrail.com I do not see my blog. Can anyone tell me where I’ve gone wrong?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Going through the directions again, it seems there should be a “put blog here” option next to the site which I’m mapping to….but I don’t see it anywhere. What am I missing or what settings do I have to change to allow mapping. Seems like it should be straight forward?

Yes, resolved. I just had to wait for the new domain I had just purchased to propagate. All working now!!!

Just for future reference and for others reading this thread: unless you have a particular reason to register your domain elsewhere, it’s much easier (and cheaper) to buy it through WordPress.com. All the mapping and DNS stuff happens automatically, and renewals happen through your wp.com dashboard.
If you only plan on using the domain for your wp.com blog, it’s the easiest way to go. (And I’m not saying that so you’ll spend more money with us – we actually make less money when you buy a domain and mapping subscription together).
