Mapping not working
-
Hi,
I have followed the procedure to map a domain name previously purchased with my wordpress blog but it is still not working.
I have registered the name servers (ns1.wordpress.com, ns2…) at my registrar. And when in wordpress, I want to switch to the domain name I bought I have this error message : It looks like the DNS is not set up correctly.
blog name: consciencedesoisp.wordpress.com
domain name bought: consciencedesoi.chThanks for your help.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You need the staff to add a zone record for you – I have flagged this for the staff to help you

It looks like your domain is not pointing to WordPress.com name servers yet. Please contact your domain registrar and ask them to set these name server records for you:
NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
NS3.WORDPRESS.COMLet us know if you have any questions!

I don’t understand my domain registrar says they are set correctly.
Here is what my registrar says when testing the server names (sorry it is in French):
Résultat du test de configuration du serveur de noms:
Nom de domaine: consciencedesoi.ch Détails
Serveur de noms: ns1.wordpress.com
ns2.wordpress.com
ns3.wordpress.com
La configuration des serveurs de noms répond à toutes nos recommandations. -
The staff seems to not have added a zone record – I have flagged this again – maybe they will add the zone record for you this time and confirm they have added the record – without a zone record the name servers can’t be set correctly

That’s a completely different issue that is because you’re using Microsoft Word. Please search the forum for responses about Microsoft Word.

I’ve just checked again but the name servers aren’t propagated yet. Could you please contact your domain registrar and ask them if they could set the name server records for you instead?
Thank you.
