Mapping old site to new one

  I am trying to map my old website to transfer traffic to the newly created one. I followed the instructions, however when I typed in the old website URL it went to the same old site. Is there a waiting period? any advice would be helpful. Thank you.

  This is the result of clicking you username in an attempt to locate the blog you are referring to:

  greeneboy.wordpress.com is no longer available.
  The authors have deleted this blog.

  This old and new website language is vague. We need to know exactly what the URLs are starting with http:// please, so we can provide relevant advice.
