Mapping our own domain without buying a plan

  We need to map our own domain without buying a plan.
  Previously for another blog we made it only by paying C$17.
  How can we proceed?

  We no longer sell domain mapping as a stand-alone upgrade on WordPress.com, except to accounts that already own such an upgrade from before we made the switch to plans.

  The account you’re using to post here doesn’t own any existing domain upgrades, so the only way you’ll be able to map a domain to your site in this account, is to upgrade to a paid plan.
