Mapping replaces one's "old" blog?
-
If I have just set up a Blog on WordPress, but then I decided to map it to my website, do/does any entry that I have already just get ported over?
And, if I like the name I had chosen for my WP blog/folder, can I keep that and use it after the remapping?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Basically, a mapped domain replaces the URL of your blog.
So, if you mapped example.com to blog.wordpress.com, blog.wordpress.com would become example.com and nothing else would change. blog.wordpress.com would continue to work, but it would redirect to example.com.

And it wouldn’t matter that both physical locations carried the same name on the subdirectory/Blog folder?
