Mapping subdirectory on my website to my wordpress blog?
-
Hi,
I’m aware I can map subdomains from my main website to my wordpress blog as stated here, but what I’d really like to do is map it to a subdirectory on my website (i.e. example.com/blog). I’m hoping to do it this way mainly for SEO reasons. My main site is running on nginx, and I’ve seen similar gists for this with tumblr Is this possible to do for wordpress, and is this something wordpress allows? I’m perfectly happy to pay the wordpress.com annual fee.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Sorry can’t be done to a WordPress.COM blog – mapping a sub-domain is your only option – but that should still work fine for SEO as that still makes the site larger with the same base domain name

The only option available to you is stated in the support docs and there are no variations.
A subdomain is a second website part of larger domain that can have its own content. You can set up a subdomain for a domain registered through another registrar or a domain registered through WordPress.com. http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-subdomain/
