Mapping subdomain

Every time I try to map my subdomain I get the redirect loop. I have an outside host for my domain and main website. I’ve tried it so many times and followed the instructions exactly but it is always the same result -once I test out the address I go straight to the the redirect loop page with the error notice. It’s so frustrating! I have waited for hours and no change. I have been trying to do this for WEEKS.

I can help with the mapping of your subdomain.
It appears as if you haven’t yet set up your CNAME with your domain registrar. If you want to map a subdomain to a WordPress.com site, you do need to make certain that your registrar has it setup first.
Once that’s done, it should be smooth sailing. Let me know how it goes.

See that is the problem exactly, I have created the CNAME and redirected it to point to wordpress. I’ve done it, deleted it and done it again about a zillion times with the same result every time

When we run a query on our end, we’re not seeing any records for the subdomain, thephotogblog.lanicarter.com. I don’t want to bounce you back and forth between WordPress.com and your registrar, but we do need the registrar for lanicarter.com (http://www.crazydomains.com) to confirm that the CNAME is set up properly on their server.
Have them do their diagnostic check to make sure everything is all right, and if not, have them make any necessary adjustments.
