mapping subdomain

  hello, previously I pointed my subdomain to mywebsite.wordpress.com.

  now, want to point the subdomain to a different site outside of wordpress.com, but the subdomain is registered on wordpress bucket? and i cannot make the changes that i want. please advise

  hello, the subdomain in question is: swanelectric.stephenbigswan.com

  previously, this subdomain was pointing to my website on wordpress (swanelectric.wordpress.com). but now I am trying to point the subdomain to a website on a different platform outside of wordpress. The support team over there is telling me that wordpress has to release my subdomain first or update and allow mapping?

  I thought that since my own domain (stephenbigswan.com) isn’t housed on wordpress. then wordpress wouldn’t have anything to do with any subdomains i wanted to create with my own domains?

  please advise

  Yeah, it would appear that they’re mistaken, you are certainly correct.

  Your DNS is managed via Cloudflare, since that’s where the name servers for stephenbigswan.com are pointing.

  That means, via either Cloudflare, your hosting provider, or your domain registrar, you can create and point swanelectric.stephenbigswan.com anywhere you desire. We aren’t part of that chain.
