mapping this website to a domain

    Hello, I need some help to map this new wordpress site to a domain I have registered with wordpress yesterday.

    You haven’t supplied the details of the other domain you are talking about. This account is only one hour old. The usual course of events is to set up a WordPress.com site such as this one and then upgrade to a paid plan which includes a custom domain name of your choice.
    If you already have an unnamed domain was it actually purchased here at WordPress.com if you are now wanting to map it to this new site here?

    Hello,

    I have a Premium plan for another site: francoisminaux.com

    I am trying to map:

    leafchimes.wordpress.com to leafchimes.com

    I bought the new domain 2 days ago.

    I read the difference in the plans offered by WordPress but I am not sure if I can have 2 domains with two different sites with a Premium plan. Could you clarify?

    Also, where is the chat app? I can not find it anymore.

    francoisminaux.com is hosted by fastDomain and presumably correctly mapped to a Premium WordPress.com site.

    leafchimes.com (hosted by WordPress.com) also diverts to francoisminaux.com. What is the underlying WordPress.com site? Have you incorrectly set the primary domain?

    Then leafchimes.wordpress.com shows different content. Is this actually a third site or not? I’m sorry I’m not much help. As I’m confused I’ll add modlook to the tag box which will alert staff to respond to you in due course.

    Hi @leafchimes , looks like you’ve got this, but in case anyone else was wondering:

    – Both domains were both purchased under a different account

    – One domain needed to be moved to this new account using this process

    – First it had to be transferred from the old account to the correct admin (leafchimes)

    – Then it needed to be transferred to the correct site.

    Everything looks good now!
