Mapping to a domain I already own

    A few months ago I set up a blog and mapped it to 2 domain names I already owned at $17 per mapping. That account is still using a ‘free’ wordpress site. I’m now setting up a new website and it’s now telling me I need to upgrade to premium in order to do this. Has this changed, or am I missing an option somewhere?

    Hey there!

    You’re right: it did change very recently. We used to offer domains as a separate upgrade but as of a couple of weeks ago you need to sign up for a plan. However it’s worth getting Premium because in addition to a domain you get no ads (previously domain upgrades only put ads on your site), more space, custom design, and the ability to upload audio and video.
