Mapping to my own domain
-
Hi,
I paid for timeout.org.uk as a URL, and it’s hosted on wordpress. I’ve paid for the £11 upgrade, but when I type in the URL to get to my site I’m caught in a constant redirect loop as I’ve changed the NS services over at namesco.
Could someone please tell me what needs doing?
thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
I see that you added a domain mapping upgrade for the domain timeoutcounselling.org.uk, but right now the name servers aren’t pointed to WordPress.com. You’ll need to update that domain’s name servers to these:
- NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
- NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
- NS3.WORDPRESS.COM
Once that’s done, it can take up to 72 hours for the change to take effect. (During that time, you may see a “redirect loop” error, and that will resolve itself once the changes take full effect.)
Please let me know if you have any questions about that. :)

Hi, thanks.
On namesco the page reads
ns1.wordpress.com – NS – timeoutcounselling.org.uk
ns2.wordpress.com – NS – timeoutcounselling.org.uk
ns3.wordpress.com – NS – timeoutcounselling.org.ukIs there anything wrong in that? Should it point to the wordpress URL?

That’s perfect! I confirmed everything is set up as it should be.
If you notice any strange behavior with your domain for the next day or two, don’t worry — that may happen while those changes take effect, and everything will settle down soon. Let me know if I can do anything more to help. :)
