Mapping to subdomain

    Hi,
I would like to link a page on my website (http://www.alchemyoftravel.com/blog.html) to my wordpress.com website. As I understand it I pay $13/yr to do this, so when someone clicks on the “blog” tab on my alchemy of travel site, they’ll be lead to my wordpress site. Is that correct? The alchemy of travel site is hosted thru another company.
I am confused by a statement in your help section though:

“WordPress.com automatically removes the “www” from all URLs. Mapping the “www” subdomain is not supported. Also, we do not currently allow mapping to subdirectories, such as example.com/blog.”

So I’m not sre if this tactic will work or not. Can you please help me?

    Thanks!

  • Hi there, if you are able to set up a subdomain for your blog on your end, for example blog.alchemyoftravel.com – then you would be able to map that domain to your WordPress.com blog.

We have a full guide here on how to map a subdomain.

Just let us know if you need any help.
