Mapping with existing domain

I designed a website in wordpress.com, but I wanted .com.au domain. So I registered with Crazy Domains. I changed DNS settings. In the past, I mapped easily at a low cost of $17/year. However, when I press ‘map’ with the existing domain, it shows over $120. I’ve tried so many times, and the amount is so high. Why is that?

  • Hi there,

Currently, the option of the domain mapping only comes with paid plans. You can’t pay just for the domain mapping. The cheapest way to map your domain is to upgrade to the Personal plan that costs $35.88 annually. However, please purchase the plan first before mapping your domain. If you try to map your domain first, the system leads you to upgrade to the Premium plan automatically, which costs more than the Personal plan.

I hope this info helps you.
    Thanks :)

    Hi Hacchism

You’re genius! I’ve just upgraded to the Personal plan as you suggested, and mapping happened automatically. I still can’t access my primary domain. I may have to wait until tomorrow.

    Thank you so much!

  • Hi again,

That’s great. I’m glad to hear that you made it :)

Yes. It takes a certain time. Please wait patiently.

    Happy blogging!
