Margin Value Problem

I am trying to change the following line of code within style.css, so that I can properly align a PayPal add to cart button.
.post_content input { margin:-6px 0px 10px 0px; }
I need to change the “-6px” value to “-9px”, however the template does not register changes beyond -6px. I am new to CSS, and can’t figure out why this change won’t register.

WOAH! On wordpress.COM blogs we cannot access the templates files containing the PHP and edit it. We can only use a PayPal donation button and that’s it.

I have a paid WordPress account with my own domain and hosting. My free url that I listed above was simply used to display the theme that I’m using, as my main site is still being custom skinned and recoded, and isn’t viewable.
Am I in the wrong forum? I’m new to WordPress, and thought I could ask questions here pertaining to both the paid and free versions?
