Mark as read

I love the drop-down notifications of comments and replies, etc, that people have left but like a lot of people, I read and use WordPress.com on more than one device (currently a desktop and a tablet) at different times and when I return to my blog after having used one device to reply or read comments, I find that on the other device they all appear as though they are unread. This is annoying, so could we please have a ‘Mark as read’ button or link? Facebook manages this, many other sites do, so why not here?
