Markdown activated, but not working

  I’ve got Markdown enabled for my site, but none of the commands seem to work when typed in HTML mode or View mode. I feel like I must be missing something pretty basic. Any help to be had?

  I am, yes. A screenshot can be seen here. It’s all enabled; but if one looks at my most recent post, one will see Markdown characters strewn about like normal text.

  Thanks for the screen shot. It appears that page is not accurately reflecting the actual settings on your site. I’ve reported that to our developers to take a look.
