Markdown block editor has (invisible) gray text on exact-same-gray background
-
When editing a markdown block, the markdown block editor has gray text on exact-same-gray background, making the text invisible to me. Switching to preview shows a render with gray background and white text. Doing a select-all highlights the text, so I can see white text on a blue highlight background on top of the overall gray background.
How can I fix this?

Hi there,
Since the black background theme style is interfering with the Markdown block editor, you can disable the Use Theme Styles option in your Editor Preferences. The Editor Preferences are found in the More Options section of your dashboard (the three dots to the right of the Settings icon in the upper right corner) as explained here:
https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/learn-the-interface/#more-options
After selecting Preferences, click on the Appearance tab to find the Use Theme Styles option.
Let us know if you need anything else and we’ll be happy to help!
