Markdown Code Syntax Highlightyng using JetPack

That was an issue in 2019 Oct
https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/markdown-code-syntax-highlighting-not-working/
And that is still the issue. https://dbj.org/cpp-zen-of-the-sad-path/
Any particular reason this is not a priority?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

ps: no I do not need help with dbj.systems, but there is no way to type it in. just a drop-down list.

Hi there,
https://dbj.org/ is not included in the drop-down for the site you need help with, because the account you’re using here doesn’t own a Jetpack connection to that site. That site’s Jetpack plugin is connected to a completely different WordPress.com username account.
The thread you link to has a link to a GitHub issue at https://github.com/Automattic/jetpack/issues/11881, and that issue is still open, meaning this hasn’t been fixed yet.
I’ve added your report to that issue, but that’s really all I’m able to do.
If you have more questions about this issue, I suggest you contact Jetpack support directly at https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/jetpack/

That list of domains is extruded from some arcane DNS. It contains domains and subdomain that I have never used and certainly never connected to Jet Pack.
The issues with Jetpack markdown and NOT syntax highlighting is not rectified by more than a year.
Thank god I have not paid for Jetpack. Each time I do not remove it from any of the WP sites I regret it.
