Markdown option not available in settings
-
Hello,
I just started a new blog on wordpress.com today and am finding my way around.
The documentation about using markdown says that it can be enabled by going to Settings -> Writing and checking the box for Markdown:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/can-i-use-markdown-on-wordpress-com/However, I don’t see this option when I go to Settings -> Writing. I only see three options: Default Post Category, Default Post Format, and Press This.
Am I missing something? Is this a premium feature? Or has it been removed since that documentation was published?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Thank you very much. That markdown page has essentially the same instructions as the one I linked to. Adding the modlook tag.

I figured it out. I needed to go to my dashboard at https://%5Bsubdomain%5D.wordpress.com/wp-admin/ (not sure to get here without typing it in manually), and the Settings there provide a whole bunch of options that aren’t available from the My Site page.
Thanks again, timethief.

Thank you very much!
I had exactly the same problem. It’s very confusing that https://wordpress.com/settings/writing/mydomain.wordpress.com features different settings than https://mydomain.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-writing.php :/
