Markdown support for footnotes

  I have added jetpack and turned no markdown blocks but they dont seem to support the footnote formatting as previously [^1]

  Hi there,

  As far as I know, footnotes don’t currently work in the Jetpack Markdown block:

  You can follow that issue to be notified of updates on this.

  Also note the forum you’re posting in now is for sites hosted on WordPress.com. For help with the Jetpack plugin, you can post in that plugin’s forum at https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/jetpack/ instead.
