Marking my blog as adult content
-
hello I need to mark this blog as adult content.
It’s only for me and my therapist / doctors to read.
How do i do that?

Please use this link to notify Staff or your desire to mark the blog as “mature – adult content”. http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

Now that I have read your question a second time I’m thinking you may want to change your blog visibility to “private”. See this entry > I would like my blog to be visible only to users I choose > http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/
-
When you are logged in visit your site – at the top you will see the gray bar – click on “Blog Info” and choose “report as Mature”
If you want to limit the traffic you can set the Privacy to “Block Search Engines” and that will reduce the visibility.
Dashboard >> Settings >> Privacy
You can also set the blog to “Private” then only those you invite can view the blog. See above.

hi!
i am thinking of marking my blog as mature as i talk a lot about sexuality there. can you explain exactly what the mature marking does?
-
It removes you from the global tag pages, so your tags on each post still go to the tag pages for all WP.com blogs, but you never appear there. Your username here and on blog comments is not clickable, so people don’t accidentally see something they don’t want to.
I am not sure, but it MAY also report you to Google as an adult blog, which would make your blog invisible if someone is using Safe Search.

YOu’re welcome. It probably isn’t applicable to you, unless you’re doing how-to’s. Simply discussing such things isn’t really what that’s for.
