Marraige Equality
-
Hello,
I have noticed that there is a rainbow heading that I have on my website. I find this surprising. Mainly because this was put there without my knowing. I trust WordPress would not make a mandatory advertisement on every customers site. Whether or not I support marriage equality is besides the point. I would like to remain politically neutral on my blog site to maintain and continue to grow the amount of traffic I have to my site. I would appreciate if you removed this from my site. Thank you.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
-
Ah I understand now that it is only visible for logged in users. Sorry for the confusion
-
I am also seeing this, as are visitors to my site.
I feel it is very wrong of WordPress to do this to a paid WordPress blog. It damages WordPress’ credibility as a hosting provider.
My blog is not political, but is about professional topics, and the banner is inappropriate.
While I can appreciate a US-based hosting company wishes to emphasise its own view about Australian politics, it could do so in other ways than negatively impact its paying customers political neutrality.

Hi there,
Please see https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/rainbow-admin-bar-for-australian-users?replies=1
The rainbow bar is being shown on the WordPress.com admin bar, not on your site. The admin bar is a part of WordPress.com’s admin interface, and as such we’re using it to show our stance as a company on this issue. Only logged-in users from Australia will see it, and if they see it, it will be visible for them across all of WordPress.com including the Reader and their own WP.com dashboard.
It cannot be disabled for individual sites.
