Mask field in form

  We have a field in the website form as VIN Number. Its a masked field with custom mask as : 9aa-aaaaaa-aa-999999. It only works for VIN Number as 6KSMDCTRLJC001234 etc but not with VIN Number as 6MLCARAVNJC000151. Please let me know the issue with it.
