Mass Confusion – Loggin In and WordPress.org vs .com
-
I am not able to sign in to Word Press .org to edit (work on) my site. I can get into this portion, through .com, but the website building tools and the same sidebar involved when I first set it up 5 days ago and updated my site more recently is not the same, I believe because that was through .org, which isn’t registering or recognizing my username or email address and allowing me to get back to that point. So I am not even sure which platform to be in or how to get back to the tools and interface I was using before… allowing me to preview the site and change themes and with much more robust, detailed drop down menus etc… I assume that was .org, which doesn’t recognize me, yet I must have been using a few days ago… Please help.

Hey najameson,
Please share the link to the website you’re trying to log in so that we check whether it’s a WordPress.com website or a WordPress.org website.
WordPress.com and WordPress.org and two different platforms. To know more, please read this.

I log in through .com, but when I attempt certain edits it takes me to a different login, here is the link: http://box5320.temp.domains/~infinmg3/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fbox5320.temp.domains%2F%7Einfinmg3%2Fwp-admin%2Fcustomize.php%3Freturn%3Dhttps%253A%252F%252Fwordpress.com%252Fsettings%252Fgeneral%252Fbox5320.temp.domains%253A%253A%7Einfinmg3&reauth=1
I cannot get past this page and assume that it is a gateway into the other website building platform (.org?) that I was using before (it looks like the .org based upon other help videos I have seen), with more detailed and robust controls. It just says it doesn’t recognize my email or username. I don’t get it. I don’t know how to get back to the web building platform I was using before? I think I registered for .com hosting but was using .org building and can’t get back to .org building…
