Do I really have to have a PAID wp, just to be able to use a mass post deleter plug-in?
I need to mass delete over 2600 posts because WP double posted every. single. photo.
Which wp claims it doesn’t do when importing from tumblr – yet it most certainly did.
A web search shows this dual-posting to be a common problem, but the only working solutions are *more plug-ins*.
4th day with this site and not a fan. Rather delete the entire thing and forget about wp, than waste any more time trying to delete 20 or even 100 posts at a time.

Hi there,
If you have tons of content on your blog, we can do it for you – just want to confirm that the deletion is permanent and that you are ready for the bulk deletion.
Are you wanting your theme reverted to its original layout as well? If so, I can go ahead and empty the site and reset the theme for you.

If you can delete every single post, I would be a very very happy user.
I don’t care if you have to delete all my media, the theme, all settings…
IDC if you delete it all.

Is there a way to keep the dual/duplicate photo posting from happening? This tumblr transfer is just a trial. Ideally I want to make a business site. -

Did you attempt more than one import? I know it happens often when users are trying to move over additional content after an initial transfer, but for some reason the duplicate posts aren’t picked up.
I have emptied your blog content and reset your theme layout successfully. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks so much for getting rid of everything. I don’t mind starting over.
I got a wp a few days ago, (free version to try it out) and set it to import my tumblr.It only imported about 2,600 of over 40,000 posts before stopping by itself. I checked the GB, it was only up to 1.6, so not full. I left it alone, hoping it would keep importing – it didn’t.
No idea why it stopped.
No idea why it started duplicating everything.
But I’d like to know how to keep it from doing the duplication thing ever again. -

There has not been any recent reports of import issues with Tumblr – although, 40,000 posts is quite a bit of content. I take it you followed the directions on our support page?

I didn’t import anything this time. I uploaded a few images and tried to post one. Same problem – Double image in post.
Could the problem be with the Baskerville 2 theme? -
Update** I deleted everything, changed the theme to Rebalance, uploaded a couple pics and everything is working fine so far. Thanks guys for the help :D

I’m not sure if this was actually a bug or the way that theme works. Are you happy with using the Rebalance theme to go forward?

Its a free theme, so the options are very limited but it’ll work. This is only an experimental blog to get used to WP. Thanks
