Mass updating posts

Hi there – I want to add a piece of text to promote my book at the top of every post on my site. Is there an automated way to do this? (I have over 600 posts)

    WP.com: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there, to clarify, you want to add this message so it appears on individual posts? Or a banner that appears on all pages of your site?

We recently offered a webinar on how to create custom headers using our Site Editor, and specifically we cover how to add a banner to your site header, which by default would show on every page of your site.

You can see how this is done by watching the replay here: https://www.youtube.com/live/HClXTVlE6Vo?feature=share

If you want to add a banner that shows on blog posts only (but not on other pages) you can add a that (as blocks) on the Single Page Template: https://wordpress.com/support/templates/edit-the-single-template/

To explain, this template controls the look of your blog posts (only) so if you add a message above or below the Post Content Block, your message will appear at the top or bottom of every blog post on the site automatically.

Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have any more questions.
