Massive drop in traffic
-
Hi
Last year I was getting a steady increase in traffic to http://nordie.wordpress.com with regular and increasing page hits and visitors. The last few months has seen a significant decline in the traffic and today’s check via Google webmaster tools has shown that (for example) the ‘google index’ has gone from ~800 pages to 44 in the last 2 months.
Crawl Stats are down from a high of 420 per day to 40.
Where previously Google webmaster tools has provided a decent level of information, it’s now returning nothing, as if the site has been deleted or is unavailable.
Is there anything going on your end that would prevent google from seeing my blog?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

In addition:
“Links to Site”: No data available
“HTML Improvements”: No Data Available
“Data Highlighter”: URL not in index (page published a week ago) -
This might be the reason due to wordpress migrating its blogs from normal http:// to secured https://
Further insights I live it to experts opinion.

Good thinking Batman! Something I would never have thought about.
I’ve worked out how to change it in Google Analytics, and I’m going to see what that does to traffic (fingers crossed!)
