Master Reset

    Hi,
We are just starting out and trying out different things but are facing an issue and would love some help.

We love the twenty twenty two (mint) theme and also the landing pages that come with it but sadly we had created our own navigation menu and lost the simple yet elegant pages with the menu. And now, we are unable to do a master reset so that we can just start from scratch with the original menu and all other things that come with the theme.

Every time we try, we can see the changes we had made despite clicking on the second option of having all content from the theme without our content but it isn’t working.

Is there a way to just nullify everything and just start from scratch so that we can see the actual theme menus and everything else that comes with it?

We have deleted all posts, media etc.

Looking forward to your reply and we are again very sorry for this amateur query.

    Thank you
    Best regards

  • Hi @ninoxedu,

It sound like you’ve made some changes to your site template(s) by going to Appearance → Editor.

If you would like to undo these changes, you can click on the template name to clear the customizations, as shown here:

Let me know if that work for you.

    Hi metabreakr,

Thank you very much for taking out the time to reply. We actually did not make that change through the editor but somehow made it anyway :D

We tried this option and it does say template reverted but it stays that way.

We just want to go to the actual default in every way.

Any other way of doing this?

    Thank you
    Regards

Yes, it is possible that we got confused and did it through the editor. Sorry about that

  • We do have a master reset that will bring your site back to only the demo content.

However, this is will remove _all_ content from your site.

Would you like us to proceed?

    Dear Macmanx,

    Yes please!

Just want everything to move back to the demo content.

Thank you and we would like to apologise for the inconvenience.

    Much appreciated!

    Thank you

    Thanks for confirming.

While we reset the site, it doesn’t appear that it restored any menus. :(

It looks like you’ll need to recreate that menu after all. To manage your menu, go to Appearance → Site Editor and edit the Navigation block to recreate that.

Let us know if you have any questions or need help with anything else.
