Master Slider thumbnails grayscale-colour hover effect.
-
Greetings,
I need badly any help/assistance to implement the following effect to a Master Slider on my future site:
1. Add grayscale effects to thumbnails (colour on hover – as in the example here: http://www.artch.ca/jig)
2. Align a thumbnails row to the left extreme edge of slider box (point 1 here: http://support.averta.net/envato/wp-content/uploads/Capture11.jpg).I have asked some advice from customization support (technical support does not provide such service) in vain.
I am inclined to pay some reasonable price for that service.
I will deeply appreciate your help. Thank you in advance.

We provide support here only for WordPress.COM hosted blogs.
We do not provide support for WordPress.ORG software installs.
Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/I’m sorry but we cannot provide accurate answers to any blogger who fails to provide the exact URL starting with http:// for the exact blog they refer to so we can verify where it is hosted. Please do that now.

Grayscale is possible with the latest CSS specs, but note that filters like that are not widely supported by all browsers. You can read more at http://davidwalsh.name/convert-images-grayscale
I can’t really help with the alignment question without seeing a live example, and also it does sound like your site is not hosted here at WordPress.com which is what this forum covers.
Custom design requests also really are something you may need to hire help for if you aren’t able to get support from your hosting provider or theme author. You can also try asking at the WordPress.org forums at http://wordpress.org/support/ but that is a volunteer-based forum and not everyone there is well-versed in CSS. If you ask for help there (or anywhere actually) you’ll have a better chance getting help if you include a link showing the content you are working with. There is no way to tell what CSS you might need by looking at a screenshot. Design services and help are most often not provided for free. You might also try looking around on the web for a CSS class so you can learn more on your own. I have used lynda.com before for photography tutorials, and I like it for that. There are lots of others if you look around.
This is a great beginner tutorial that I know people have found helpful in case you’d like to take a look:
