Mastodon support

  I’d like to see Mastodon added to the list of sites I can share my posts to, as I can currently do with Twitter, Google+, etc.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Yep, that would be good. Be aware that for core sharing in WordPress.COM is delivered by the Jetpack – Publicize plugin (already included in all WordPress.COM hosted sites). I guess once Mastodon has gained the popularity of it’s counterparts (and it’s growing steadily: https://mnm.social/ ) it will be considered for inclusion. I think there are already plugins for the WordPress.ORG hosted sites.

  Well, I wrote a topic Aug 10, 2017, 2:54 PM Mastodon – Mastodon Share WordPress Extension (you can read it at https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/mastodon-mastodon-share-wordpress-extension?replies=1)
  But My Topic has been closed (may be by TimeThief) and not by me… In fact, my topic is always valid.

  We are nearly 1,000,000 user accounts on the Mastodon Fediverse and I haven’t seen yet appearing a new social network button in WordPress SetUp.

  In fact, the wordpress community has developped an extension called Mastodon share, but unfortunately it hasn’t been integrated in WordPress.com
  Have you got some news to tell us or a reply to this?
