mature blogs searchable for mature people

  There have been a lot of new features and updates lately; I was hoping someone would get around to maybe helping out the mature bloggers? There are people who search WordPress for “mature” content – which on our blog is a mix of science, social issues, art and funny.

  I’ve made peace with our removal from tag searches. I would still love to have some guidelines about what is deemed mature content because I think we are borderline enough to edit posts.

  As a medium option, how about asking readers to identify themselves as 18+ and allow them to search the mature blogs? Opting in to mature seems reasonable right?

  They are available on regular external search engines like Google, though (assuming, of course, Safe Search is off). If you want to limit a Google search to just WP.com, just put this in the search box:

  ThingYourAreSearchingFor site:wordpress.com
