Mature Content?

  • Unknown's avatar

I am trying to be a responsible person :)

    When I visit this page:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/mature-content/

…it states “If you are publishing a blog that you expect will contain content that is intended for mature audiences, we ask that you provide us the courtesy of reporting your own blog by using the Report this content option in the blog menu of your Toolbar.”

I am having trouble figuring out how to do this.

    Please advise.

    Thank you!

Also, is there any way to have a page where the user must confirm they are of legal age?

    I appreciate your help.

    Have a good one!

    Peace.

There is no warning notice page provided here at WordPress.COM. You create a static front page and post one of your own making on it.
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/

Also you can go to the front of your blog and click the “report blog” link in the dropdown to report it to Staff as “mature”. For details re: mature content blogs http://en.support.wordpress.com/mature-content/

A blog that is marked as Mature is excluded from public areas of the WordPress.com service. This means:

It is not eligible to be featured in Freshly Pressed on the front page of WordPress.com
It will not appear in global tag listings
It will not appear in Top Blogs listings, recent posts, or related posts listings on other blogs
The blog’s users cannot use that URL as a link in their WordPress.com Forums profile

I saw where I could report my own blog and did so.

    Thanks again!

I am having the same problem trying to report My blog as mature and followed the same steps above and Im lost. I don’t see anywhere for Me to report My blog. please tell Me where u found the report button. Im close to just reporting it through a complaint so I dont get in trouble for not reporting it

    Hi SSS!

Just log in to your blog. Go to your blog and look at the upper left hand sideof your blog. See your name next to the little globe looking icon? Click that. A few choices will appear in the dropdown. At the bottom it says “report this content” or something similar.

Good luck. Let me know if you still have trouble!

    Peace.

I’ve tried and tried and it doesn’t even show options under My name. I’m wondering if it’s because i’m paying for My blog. It’s Godaddy hosted. I have no clue. Even though My front page goes to a static page and has a adult warning on it I’m still just going to go through the complaint thing to report My own site so it can be marked mature through their sever too. Just don’t want no drama.

. I’m wondering if it’s because i’m paying for My blog. It’s Godaddy hosted.

This is the WordPress.COM support forum. You need to post to the WordPress.ORG support forum for help with your site because it is not hosted by WordPress.COM.

WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and have different logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support forums. http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.
