mature content on secondary blog

    i had a question…

i wished to establish a secondary blog reserved for portions of my writing that has more mature themes. i do not mind it being marked as mature in any way. what i am concerned about is how it would influence my primary blog.

would my primary blog remain visible and without restriction?

thank you for your help in advance.

Mature ratings are by blog, so as long as the other blog does not have mature content, then there is no problem.

I have a similar question and this is the closest existing question that matches it:

I have a secondary blog with mature content. my concern is.. how do I reply to comments without leaving a trackback to the first blog (if you click on my picture, it sends you to the primary blog and I do not wish the two to be linked at all), also in forums, if I leave a comment, people will only be taken to my primary blog even if I am commenting on the secondary blog. ARRRGH! I need help sorting all this out.

Apologies in advance if I didn’t hunt far enough in to past posts to find my answer:)

You would have to sign the blog over to a completely separate ID, that’s the best solution for you. Register another email just for that account and have the first ID make the second an Admin. Then always comment from that second account.

Or you could simply sign out and comment under another name.

Thanks, raincoaster. I didn’t know it would be so complicated. Once the blog is here however, is there a way to switch it to “another user”? I thought they were none-transferable

sory for the atrocious spelling mistakes; I’ve been studying all day and my brains are leaking out of my head!

Yes, you just register another user with a different email, then have your first username set them as Admin on that blog. Then all the posts etc go up under their name if you’re signed in with that name. If the first name hasn’t commented or made any posts, nobody will connect the two.

You can’t delete the original owner from a blog without staff intervention, but if the original ID hasn’t made any posts or comments, there’s no need to delete them; they won’t show up if you don’t use the Author’s widget.

ok…I did it and it worked…one more question *grin*; if I delete mehitabela as administrator will that delete “her” previous posts? and (ok 2 more) IS there a way to remove mehitabela’s name from the small print saying who wrote the entry?

(thanks, raincoaster, I know I’m a pain in the arse!)

You can’t delete the user who created the blog. You have to ask staff to do that. And I don’t know the answer to that question. I would just go in under the second name and edit the author’s name; you can do that.
