Max number of Panels?

    Hi is the MAX number of panels I can have on the front page only 4? How can I extend this to 6?

    Hello @departmentofmgt,

    May I know the link to the website you’re working on?

    If you refer to theme you used for this – insideimi.wordpress.com -I don’t think there’s a maximum number of panels you can add for Lodestar theme, as each panel is created from a static page in your site – and there is no limit to this.

    To add additional panels to your Front page, follow these steps:

    1. Create or edit a page.
    2. To add a large image to the top of the panel, assign a Featured Image to the page. This image should be at least 2000 pixels wide and 1200 pixels tall.
    3. Publish your page.
    4. Navigate to Customize → Theme Options. From the drop-down, select the page you’d like to appear in the panel.
    5. For each panel, you also have the option to display the page’s content in one or two columns.

    You can find more information from the theme page, you will see the setup guide on the left.

    Hi Thanks for response Rose,

    I currently have 6 pages that I’ve created and want on the homepage (not including About & Contact page) but they do not appear on the front page, only 4 appears. When I go to Theme Options, it gives me:

    Header Top Text
    Panel 1
    Panel 2
    Panel 3
    Panel 4
    Footer Image

    So I have 4/6 of my pages on the front page, but there is no option to add additional panels.

    Hello @departmentofmgt,

    I’m so sorry, I just tested this theme to my test site, and it shows you can only add up to 4 panels. I’m so sorry, didn’t check it before.

    If you need six front-page panels, you might want to look at Pique (max. eight panels) or Shoreditch (no maximum).

    is it possible to change the background color of the panel with “option theme” or i have to change something from the CSS?

    @laserliana: Is gioielli342.wordpress.com the site you’re working on?

    If so, you can choose from a selection of free colour palettes via the Colours & Backgrounds panel of the WordPress.com Customizer:

    Click on the “Palettes” button that overlays the “Background” tab to see the different palettes. If you switch between them, they’ll change the background colour of the panels.

    More advanced Custom Design options are included as part of the WordPress.com Premium and Business plans.
