Max Width of Image Gallery
-
I am working with the new Manifest theme. I have widened the header, and page contents to the length I want (980px) but I cannot figure out how to make it so that when I have a gallery it will work on a 980px length as well. I have tried working within the CSS code for the image gallery listed in the original code, but I cannot seem to get it to work. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. I have read here before NOT to copy the original CSS and edit that and repaste it, but that is what I have had to do as it is the only time I have ever worked with CSS. The link to my blog is here, I want the image gallery to look the same as the main pages (980px). I hope I am being clear?? Any help would be SO GREATLY appreciated!!

I see the J & R posting, what exactly isn’t working for you with that? What are you wanting to fix on it?

When you go to view the gallery the images are restricted to 500px instead of allowing them to be viewed at the 720px they were saved at. When I insert a photo it works fine but with the gallery it stays restricted? Thank you for taking a look!!

When inserting a gallery, you want to click the “show” button for each image and under “link URL” select “file URL. That will open the images directly in the browser window instead of inside a formatted page.
Go back into that post, edit each image and select “file URL under link URL and then after making the changes, click the “save changes” button at the bottom of the gallery insert page and then “update” your post.

@tsp, if you are using the actual Gallery feature, you have to set that link association in the Gallery tab of the Image Uploader and the two choices are Attachment Page or Image File. You can’t set it for each individual photo.
