max-width property causing blocks to move

  Hi, I’m just beginning to set-up the typography on a new site and I’m applying max-width to my headers, lead paragraph (.lede) and block quotes to stop the lines getting too long and to make the layout easy to follow (see highlighted css on screenshot). However, I can’t quite work out why the block quote and everything below it is getting shunted out of alignment. It’s working fine in VSCode (see below) but not in WP so there must be something I’m missing.

  

  The site is being developed locally so there’s nothing online to share at the moment.

  Any guidance is much appreciated.
