    I’m a former WordPress customer who used another firm to build a new ‘author website’. Can a former or non-WordPress customer use the WordPress forums only? (I may have signed up again with WordPress to soon, since I may renew 1st year with current website builder). Do I simply cancel this account? If so, is it possible to access WordPress forums via another venue? Thanks…

    Just to clarify, is your site with your new host built using the WordPress software?

    If so, the forums you want are probably the ones over at WordPress.org:

    The forums here on WordPress.com are really only useful for those who have a site hosted with us (or are asking pre-purchase questions in anticipation of hosting with us).
