May I add an Earth Hour widget to a blog post?
-
Earth Hour offers widgets at this address: http://www.beyondthehour.org/#/Widget/
The code is for an object in html format which one could then add to a blog post. This, I would like to do, to promote Earth Hour, which is coming up at 8:30PM, Saturday, March 26. (Earth Hour is a worldwide event in which individuals and businesses take a stand for sustainability and against climate change by turning their lights off for one hour. The widget this year promotes the notion of going beyond one hour.)
However, I don’t know whether WordPress allows embedded objects in the html for posts.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’m sorry but it’s an iframe code and the software here will strip it out to preserve security as this is a multiuser blogging platform. See > http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/
<iframe id="eh2011-widget" src="http://www.beyondthehour.org/Widgets/skHome/" width="160" height="400" frameborder="0"></iframe>If you can find a Flash version of the widget then we may be able to get one of the Volunteers to provide a gigya shortcode for it that you can use on your wordpress.com blog.

While the top two items “Widgets” on the cited link are iframes, the bottom four are flash objects. My phrasing was much in error. Please excuse.
How do I get in touch with a WordPress Volunteer to get a gigya shortcode for e.g. the 300px by 250px object, second item in the set under “Banners” on the cited page?

If you have a flash version of your widget, you should read the gigya posts made by our volunteer friend Panos:
