I’m struggling to use this site. There are a couple of complications I can’t overcome. Maybe someone at WordPress can help me.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’ve tangled myself up a bit. I already have a WordPress website, hosted by Hostgator. I thought I could just leverage a Blog site off the back of that, but failed – couldn’t see how to do it.
So then I tried to create a new site but using the same log-in, but that didn’t work.
So I tried starting all over again. I went to the WordPress home page to try to create a hosted Blog site. The first question I was asked was for my email address, at which the page told me, Sorry, this email address has already been used! And wouldn’t let me go any further.
I finally managed to create a blog page using someone else’s log-in, but the utility seems very limited – it’s not letting me do what I want to do.
What I’d really like to do is start all over afresh with a stand-alone Blog site, but using my current email address to register. Isn’t there an easy way?

So a WordPress website hosted by Hostgator is a WordPress.org website and is different to a WordPress.com website (We’re .COM). Here’s a primer on the differences, if you’re interested: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

But it sounds like what we want to do is create your new WordPress.com blog…
First we’ll need to Log in: https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php if you don’t know your password follow instructions on the Lost your password? link.

Then we want to create a new blog site, here’s the guide how: https://en.support.wordpress.com/create-a-blog/#adding-new-site to-an-existing-account

To get you going from there here’s some links to help:

    Does this help?
