    I am getting a lot of really random visits to my blog and all to a single post which was posted months ago, and it really irritates me b/c that’s where all the comments/spam comments are going. I don’t understand why this is…I mean it was a good post and all, but please, I have others-y’know? has anyone else had something like this happen to them? is it normal? I’m sorta confused.

    If you don’t want to deal with the spam, just close comments on the post.

    That said, I occasionally get hits on really old posts. Most of the time I can correlate them with the search terms or Referrers.

    The post in question appears on google and that means that spammers are aware of its popularity so they spam it with bogus comments hoping their crap will get posted on your blog. Yes this is “normal”. Spammers are always about 1 week behind when it comes to spamming what we post and popular older posts are a target for sure.
